LaSalle County Farm Bureau Foundation is excited to expand our Ag in the Classroom program in LaSalle County.
We are looking to hire TWO Ag in the Classroom Contractors.
Job Description: Responsible for providing and creating agriculture-based materials, for elementary students in LaSalle County with virtual and in person classroom lessons. Assisting with Foundation Fundraisers, teacher workshops, development of online materials, and Ag in the Classroom events.

Illinois farmers made quite a splash in the national corn and soybean county production estimates released by USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS)
The top four counties in total corn output last year in Illinois also rounded out the top five nationwide with Iroquois County at 64.7 million bushels followed by Livingston (61.8 million), LaSalle (60.5 million) and Champaign (57.9 million).
For total soybean production, Bolivar County in Mississippi and Cass County in North Dakota placed second and third behind McLean County nationwide. The next four highest soybean producing counties were all in Illinois - Iroquois County (19.1 million bushels), Champaign (18.2 million), Livingston (17.9 million) and LaSalle (17.1 million).
